Rafael Llorens Ferri
Rafael Llorens Ferri was born in Alcoi (Alcoy) in 1937. From 1960 to 1965, he studied Fine Arts in Valencia and Barcelona.
His work can be found in the Town Hall of Alcoy, the Provincial Council of Alicante, the Museum of Santillana del Mar in Santander, the Elisa Tomás Yusti Foundation in Alicante, the Reading Centre in Reus, the Lecasse Foundation in Alcoy, the CAM collection in Alcoy and Alicante, the Scientific, Literary and Artistic Athenaeum in Alicante, the Town Hall of Altea, the COAATA Foundation in Alicante, the Footwear Museum in Elda and the Town Hall of Alicante.
Rafael passed away on 9 November 2022.
From 1966 to 1974 he taught painting at the Escuela Municipal de Bellas Artes and at the Instituto de Bachillerato Padre Vitoria in Alcoy.
Since 1975 he has been a teacher at different secondary schools in the province of Alicante.
He has had 67 individual exhibitions in Alcoy, Valencia, Gandia, Benidorm, Altea, Zaragoza, Madrid, Paris, Alicante, Denia, Cocentaina, Muro, Ibi, Bañeres, Villena, Reus, Jijona, San Vicente del Raspeig, Catarroja, El Campello, Beneixama and Elda.
He has participated in more than 135 group exhibitions and convocatories in several Spanish cities.
He has won 27 prizes and acquired work in various exhibitions held in Alcoy, Alicante, Valencia, San Juan and Madrid.
